My project is a quantitative analysis of how the energy usage of NYC neighborhoods correlate with the number of trees within a nearby vicinity. If people had to take anything away from the results, it would be that solutions to complex problems are often just as complex. Planting trees is not a cost-effective way of reducing energy; factors such as tree maturity, species, amongst other things are just as critical, if not, more important, in determining impact.
