My mask is sort of like a collage of images. At the bottom there are three flags, the American flag, the Irish flag and the Bolivian flag. I see myself as American first since I grew up here, but wanted to connect my other flags as a metaphor for cultural diffusion. On the left eye you can see a fencing silhouette, as that is the sport I thoroughly enjoy and am very passionate about. There is a record playing over the right eye to show my love for listening and collecting music. Just above that is all the stimulation I enjoy throughout my daily life: music, reading, videos, observing the world, and conversation. They all flow into the funnel on the left side of the head, where it turns the gears which is a metaphor for a desire to learn/think/listen/enjoy. Also that cup by the mouth signifies my addiction to tea!
