Epigenetics: Interactions between Behavioral and Environmental Mechanisms in Gene Expression
The molecular basis of epigenetic mechanisms is being used to explain the developmental origins of child mental health disorders. Environmental signals/exposures during the time of placental gene expression have proven to affect neurobehavioral responsiveness in infants.
