We examined bee sightings in New York City from 2019 to 2021 using iNaturalist, exploring the effects of warmer winters (climate change) on the number of bees spotted. The data highlights the potential dangers of a warming climate to wildlife ecosystems, focusing specifically on the Apis mellifera (bees). We found a moderately strong correlation between temperature and bee observations, supporting our hypothesis. More studies must be done to further understand this relationship and adjust for limiting factors.
