Pesticides are a growing concern, as our dependency on them has increased over the years. This is significant because pesticides have been linked with cancer, poisonings, and other health effects. We determined if pesticide residues vary across NYC supermarkets based on caterpillar larvae mortality and if dill and parsley differed in toxicity for the larvae. From our findings, the supermarkets had different toxicity levels (some had high toxicity while some had low toxicity) and dill and parsley do differ in toxicity.
