The School System: Mexico

Established in 1921 to inspire a sentiment of unity after the end of the Mexican Revolution. The current Secretaria de Educacion Publica was reorganized in 1993, in an effort to spread education reform following economic crises.

Basic Education

Compulsory, so naturally this level has a higher level of attendance than any other.  Pre-K, Primary and Lower Secondary Schooling,

Upper Secondary Education

This level is comprised mainly of three-year college preparatory programs, some for technical schools.

Higher Education
