Blurb #4

Madison Square Garden is the world’s most famous area. It houses the Knicks, Rangers, and many other events and concerts. Trips to the area are magical, but can be expensive. Unbeknownst to many, tickets to many college basketball games (St Johns plays home games at MSG) and to college basketball tournaments can cost as little as ten dollars. NCAA basketball is not professional basketball, and this is not an insult. The emotions are real, the effort is visible, and the energy is tangible. College basketball is the most exciting type of basketball, and Madison Square Garden is the most amazing area. Together, the two provide an amazing experience.

Blurb 3

One of the most typically American pastimes is enjoying a game of football. Despite being an avid fan, I had  never attended a football game of any level before Sunday night. Lucky for me, my first experience was at the MetLife Stadium, which is the future home of the 2014 Superbowl. The experience was unforgettable, and not just because of the Jets vs. Patriots rivalry I was witnessing. By wearing my lucky #24 Revis jersey, the Jets fans in section 315 knew I was a friend. Because of this, they treated me as family, offering me their food (and drink) as well as acting as if I were a lifelong friend. Attending the game proved to be much than just witnessing a amazing game unfold, but also an experience that has now turned into an extremely happy memory.

Blurb #2- The 53rd and 6th Halal Stand

Even though there are hundreds of Halal carts in Manhattan, none are as renowned as the cart on 53rd and 6th. The stand, run by the Halal Guys, has become the go-to-spot for anyone craving gyro sandwiches or platters.  Before enjoying my delicious lamb gyro, I wondered how this specific stand had become so famous. After finishing the gyro, I knew why.  The Guys on 53rd and 6th have created perfect tasting Halal food. It is undoubtedly the best four dollar meal you can purchase in Manhattan.
