I am a full-time professor in the Law Department at Baruch. My recent research has focused on finding common ground between the rules of corporate governance and the increasing demand for corporate social responsibility (whatever that is). I teach two basic business law courses: Introduction to Business Law, and the Law of Business Organizations.
I started teaching IDC Seminar 2 several years ago because I have long been fascinated by the dynamics of immigration in the USA generally and in New York City in particular. The seminar studies the differences between the wave of immigration from around 1880-1920 and contemporary immigration since 1964. We explore the history and policy issues of this subject through a variety of kinds of research and writing and class discussion as well as a class project creating a website.
