Seth Low Park

Seth Low Park is located in Brooklyn, NY, bordering the neighborhoods of Bensonhurst and Bath Beach. The surrounding neighborhoods are largely Chinese and Russian in demographics, which the park’s most frequent visitors reflect.

The park – which consists of a playground, basketball and handball courts, a baseball field, and an area of tables and benches – is largely divided among these areas based on age groups and nationalities. It has been observed that while the younger generation natives happily interact and assimilate, older generation immigrants have a more difficult time doing so, and tend to stay in segregated groups, interacting only with each other.

More information about the park and its history can be found on the park’s official website.
