Travers Park is located on 34th Avenue between 77th and 78th Street in Jackson Heights, Queens. Many of the park’s regular visitors live nearby and walk to the park, but the park can also be reached through public transportation by taking the 7, E, R, or M trains to Roosevelt Avenue or Q32, Q33, Q49, or Q66 buses and then walking to the park. After school hours, the park is flooded with children from schools nearby such P.S. 145. Interestingly, there also is a nursery school located right next to the park named Rainbowland Nursery School.
