Creative Work, due October 5

On October 5 you will be presenting your Creative Work (Image) project to the class. Your job is to wrap up your daily photo project by choosing some or all of your photographs to show to us. You will have about 5 minutes to present your work. You may edit out any images that you feel are not representative of your best work. Aim for no fewer than five images. Consider the sequence in which you present your photos. You do not have to go in date order, you may select any sequence that you feel best suits your work. You can & should continue taking photographs throughout this coming week that you feel would work well with your overall portfolio of images.

When you present your images to the class, please discuss your creative process, reflect on what you hope the images convey to the viewer, and provide some insight on the way(s) this work altered (or didn’t) your relationship with the world around you. Feel free to discuss anything else that you think might be important for us to know. That said, your images are hopefully doing much of the talking for you, so you do not have to ‘explain’ each picture so much as provide a context for your audience (us) to understand what you saw, did, and learned.

While I encourage you to prepare your spoken comments as a written text that you refer to in your five minute presentation, I request that you please do not read your paper to us (we’ll probably be bored). Instead, just talk to us (we’ll probably be interested).

Create a blog post titled “[Your Name] Creative Work 1” that includes all of the images that you want to show us, in the order you want the pictures to be seen. Give your post the category “Daily Photos”. You will be presenting your work from the blog so, if it doesn’t work on the blog, it won’t work when you present it.

Do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
