I had a hard time deciding whether I wanted to focus on art that I made myself and the things I had at home and saw around the city that I found so enticing in the first place. So I ultimately did a combination of the two very different categories, yet the central theme I went for was a sense of color, whimsy and girliness. I went for things that spoke to me, such as the stickers that reminded me of why I began a collection of them in the first place, to the shoes from The Phantom of the Opera that make me wish I could walk around like a Victorian lady.

Two things I did keep in mind as I was choosing photos and as I was taking the photos themselves was that as much as I adore all things Ireland, only a few of the photos I took were ones I really enjoyed, which is why only the one with the flag is featured.

Secondly, just to add a sense of whimsy, I did try to give each of the photos a title that’s a line from a song or a well known saying, etc. and when I couldn’t manage that, I settled for stating the obvious. 😛

  1. I really enjoyed your creative work because I think it really let your fun, eclectic personality shine through. I personally would probably find it very difficult to be able to showcase my personality through a compilation of photos, but I think you did it really well. I loved all the colors and patterns present throughout your photographs, which really gave your whole work an uplifting, bright, cheerful mood, which it seems like you were trying to achieve.

  2. What I liked about your gallery was that it expressed who you are, which definitely is a very artsy person. My favorite picture would have to be you eating the turkey leg, I feel that the picture stands outs and is quite funny. I also liked the notebooks because I do agree that composition notebooks are quite boring on their own but your personalization gave these notebooks a unique touch.

  3. I love how reflective your photos are of your days, experiences, and most importantly, personality. There isn’t necessarily a theme or a structured order, but the spontaneity of your photos makes them so interesting to look at. I also like how you explore the theme of design, and I especially enjoy looking at the colors.
