  1. This creative work is definitely one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I didn’t see this until you presented it in class, so I had no initial reaction to the chronology. However, your theme and analysis made so much sense that I couldn’t think of a better way to compile your photos. I love how timeless but extraordinary this theme of change and urbanization is, and how each space that you documented has elements of the natural and the man-made (even the road if you think about it…would you be able to see this vast and expansive space if it weren’t for the man-made road?) Overall, great idea and amazing execution 🙂

  2. I really like the classiness of each picture and how somewhat serene they are. There’s no doubt they are pictures that were well taken. I like the focus of each picture and the clear subject or subjects. It’s easy to tell that you went out and put effort in searching for unique places. You captured the essence of New York very expertly and the fact that you chose these specific pictures to be displayed for your creative work is great.

  3. Even though I enjoyed viewing each of your daily photos, your class presentation made me look at them differently. The concept of ‘new’ and ‘old’ is not only fascinating, but also very fitting. This theme is not just evident all around us, but we are also right between being ‘young’ or ‘old, and in turn struggle with identifying ourselves within those two categories. Because of this, I find myself ‘siding’ with some of the photos rather then others. I especially love the photo at the end, it is so peaceful and almost soothing in nature, being placed right after the bright and colorful teddy bear which scares me. Through your photos, you have successfully captured why the city is so amazing.
