Our project is the creation of a zine, an underground self-published magazine, using photographs and reflective writings we have accumulated throughout the Arts in New York City course. Our zine theme, Painting New York City, is a metaphor that encapsulates our experiences and reflections on the arts in New York City. We “paint” NYC by using words and photos as our mediums and the city itself as our canvas. From architectural marvels to street art, we incorporate various aspects of NYC’s art scene into our own creative collages and writings.
