New York is a blend of many different cultures, foods, and languages. Due to the history of Immigration to New York, you can now find cultural “hotspots” all over the city such as Chinatown, Little Pakistan, and more. What you will find when riding the city’s famous public transit, the MTA, is that each train station resides in one of these hotspots.
My project contains an audio file to be listened to riding the Q or B from Newkirk Plaza to Sheepshead Bay that highlights the ethnic backgrounds of those who populate those neighborhoods.
