More than 95% of college students use a form of social media. After polling a small network of students at Hunter and abroad, here’s our insight into the causes and affects of social media use.
Social Media use amongst Gen Z college students is at an all-time high. The effects of the pandemic have caused many students to spend more time on their mobile devices not only for entertainment and communication, but also for a majority of school related tasks. Wanting to know more about social media use, its causes and influences on college student life, we anonymously surveyed our peers to gain more insight into this phenomenon of our current digital age.
