Our project delves into the effects of air pollution toward pigeon population in New York City. We analyzed pigeon population and air quality across 7 different zip codes in NYC. We hypothesized that in areas where the air quality index was higher, there would be a greater number of pigeons. It was concluded that there was a positive correlation between the number of rock pigeons and air quality index. Thus, the pigeon population is denser in areas with less pollution.
