Our project is on the population in New York City due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Harsh economic effects such as many businesses closing, people losing their jobs, and unable to afford the city’s skyrocketing cost of living have left people no choice but to leave the five boroughs and seek living and better opportunities in the suburbs or in other states. Our project goes in depth as to why so much has happened in NYC and why it is no longer the thriving city it once was.

Hi Areej and Nicholas. I really enjoyed reading your poster and learning about your findings. The topic you chose is relevant to the current situation in New York. I think that explaining the different causes of the shifts in New York’s population over the past century shows that the pandemic is definitely impacting New York.
Also, the poster is aesthetically pleasing and easy to follow. I love the blue and white theme. Great job!
