This project focuses on the changing profile of Williamsburg in the past 20 years in comparison to its street tree density and species. The takeaway that we hope you will get is the importance of street trees in a neighborhood and how they evolve in relation to the neighborhood they are in. The project was completed by Jessica Bergman, Lauren Zami, Annabelle Fu, and Madeline Tawil.

This is yet another well-assembled scientific poster. I use to work close to this area of Brooklyn NY. I can honestly say that I most likely wouldn’t scale it in this matter. I think that this hypothesis and analysis provides a whole different scope to the area. Learning about what type of tree is most dominant and impactful in an ever-increasing urban area was very interesting. It’s more studies like these that can help us better understand our environment and the ecosystems supported by it.
