As many places around the country are requiring the decarbonization of buildings, Brooklyn College will need to make changes to attain the levels of decarbonization being mandated. As the college is one of the worst in CUNY in terms of energy usage and carbon footprint, we have decided to analyze the efforts of other, more successful colleges to see what Brooklyn College can do to follow suit. By analyzing the colleges’ sustainability initiatives, as well as factoring in differences in the campuses and school systems, we are able to extrapolate what Brooklyn College can do to better our own sustainability initiatives. This project was done by Matthew Kundla, Joseph Edelheit, and Clayton MacKay.
