My group was curious about the effect of classical music on birds from our neighborhoods and not from labs. Thus, we ran our own experiment, in which we collected data on the number of birds present when we played classical music for 10 minutes and the number of birds present when we played no music for 10 minutes. Inputting all of the data into a two-way ANOVA table, we were able to see that both the presence of music and the location had an effect on the number of birds we observed. We were also able to find further research (scientific journals) that supports our findings, which makes our results more credible. Overall, working with a group to answer this research question was definitely a fun learning experience!
