The purpose of our research was to determine and quantify the impact that the invasive Spotted Lantern Fly species has had on Maple, Eastern Black Walnut, and Birch trees in the New York and New Jersey area. We concluded that the Spotted Lantern Fly may have had a significant contribution to lower Maple tree observations, but a minimal contribution to Eastern Black Walnut and Birch tree populations.
