Sleep is important for children because it helps them grow, to build a strong immune system, and refresh their minds after storing new information. Unrestricted screen time can effect sleep in many different ways. As technology becomes more commonplace in daily life and use, these effects must be understood by parents and children alike.

This was a great read. The hypothesis was extremely well written and I agree with the statement completely. Due to the technology boom within our generation, children have become way more tech savvy at younger ages. As you all mentioned , it is a result of the constant state of advancement and modernization our world has. In your findings section, I wish you could’ve been able to figure out the number of hours on average a child sleeps in comparison to how long they should typically sleep like you wanted to. I assume with COVID-19 the amount of daily screen time skyrocketed for everyone due to virtual learning.

I definitely enjoyed reading your findings on this scientific question. It’s interesting how well-aware we may be of the damages of screen time, yet it has become so weaved into our everyday schedules and tasks. Screens are everywhere and children can be easily distracted and occupied by them; it’s difficult to limit screen time in a world where homes and schools use tablets, TVs, laptops, etc.
