Any big city in this world holds unique stories of millions of individuals who feel joy, pain, frustration, loneliness, and love. In the past two years, the pandemic has both connected us and disconnected us in many ways. Through this exhibit, I wanted to share small moments of human connection, where despite being individuals who are all on a rather lonely journey to navigate this world, we all share vivid experiences, feelings, and emotions that though difficult to convey in words, can be expressed through art.
We explore the ways in which the pandemic pushed the boundaries of inclusivity on various marginalized communities.

Our exhibit is centered around the art of music because practically everyone can appreciate it during this age. In a time when music has never been more accessible, it is interesting to see what listeners gravitated towards during the difficult times of the pandemic. Furthermore, the music that was released within the past year is representative of the times we have been living in and everything that has had light shed on during the pandemic. We wanted to illustrate this and introduce people to new music through our exhibit. At the end of the viewing, viewers can leave with a new song to add to their library, along with exposure to a new artist they might not have been familiar with before.

The Pandemic burdened everyone in every aspect of life. But some ethnic minorities were impacted more than the others. We aimed to explore the extent of this within the African American community in America.
Education, career, health… Crime rates are one of the many factors disrupted by COVID-19 restrictions and vaccine distributions. Following vaccine distribution, overall average crime rate increases in NYC.
