Millennium Theater is not a place that most have heard of. It does not host blockbusters such as Transformers or Pirates of the Caribbean. Rather, it is a place that can give you a taste of Russian culture. Located at 1029 Brighton Beach Avenue, this theatre started out as a small entertainment place at the edge of Brighton Beach in 1934.  It has developed into a multiplex that can show four movies at once. Millennium Theatre also hosts Russian theatre troupes, music, and comedy. World renowned artists such as Ray Charles, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, and many international pop performers have performed at this theatre. However, because most if not all the performances are in Russian, non-Russian speakers might find it difficult to understand what is going on.
